The 3D modeling and rendering of the Nike Air Ship was created as a tribute to one of basketball’s most iconic shoes, emphasizing a worn, used look.

I used Substance Painter to craft realistic textures scra tches, wear, and imperfections typical of shoes used on the court. Modeling was done in ZBrush, focusing on stitching, material de formation, and surface details to convey the feel of a lived-in object.

The final result is a 3D model that not only honors the Nike Air Ship, but also evokes its place in one of the most legendary moments of Michael Jordan’s career.
